G6DX was inspired by dice games like Yahtzee, Farkle, and even digital games like Armello - but also pen and paper RPGs like D&D and Monster of the Week.
In G6DX you build your character around core Attributes with scores between 2 and up to 18. Your Ability Score determines how many six-sided dice you get to roll with. Rather than pooling numbers, each number represents a unique aspect of your character, their moral and civil philosophies, along with the aspect to block and smash.
When you act in alignment with your character, putting an emphasis on roleplaying, you gain the chance for your dice to "Explode." This means you get to keep the result but also reroll that die again.
The concept is simple. Exciting. Engaging. And makes roleplaying not just fun but also important to how the game is played!
The best part? You can run this system in any setting you want, all you have to do is change some of the terms to suit your world!
