The Red Sea Made Simple

Israel stood trapped between Pharaoh's chariots and the deep water of the Red Sea, with nowhere left to go. Then Moses stretched out his hand, the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind all night, and two million people walked through on dry ground between walls of water. By morning, not so much as one Egyptian remained (Exodus 14:13-31).

The Red Sea Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through Exodus 1-15 and the pattern of God's deliverance: the chains of Egypt, the burning bush, the ten plagues, the blood on the doorpost, the camp at Pi Hahiroth where God Himself designed the trap, the command to stand still, the stretched-out hand, the night of wind, the walls of water, the closing sea, and the song on the shore.

Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who ordained the deliverance; Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior -- the Angel of the Lord who stood in the bush and guarded Israel's rear, the greater Moses of the greater exodus at the cross; and the Holy Spirit, who alone gives the stillness to stand, the strength to walk, and the power to be free. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit. Deliverance comes by the Spirit's power alone -- never by willpower or man's method.

Read one chapter a day. Come honest. Stand still. And see the salvation of the Lord.
