Welcome to Blitzed’s first official issue. Thanks for all your comments about the pilot and the input of so many of you.
We’ve listened to you and hope you’ll love our new look. The Blitzed Magazine concept started as a music magazine but has grown and developed to include fashion, history and culture. We always encourage the participation of our readers, and if you have an article, submission or review for us, please get in touch.
Over the next few months, we have interviews with some of the major legacy artists, as well as those whose music has inspired them. We have commentary, reviews and articles about the issues of the day and the iconic gigs. We’d like to think that when you read Blitzed, there’ll always be something you didn't-necessarily know about that era as well as people and events that are familiar.
As you read this issue, you’ll see that we’ve brought people on board who were there, who were part of the Blitz, as well as those who wished they had been. Those who have a passion for the 80s. We’re looking forward to the future of Blitzed whilst writing about the legacy, influence and movement that the Blitzed club helped to both shape and inspired.
Kevin O’Dowd joins us as a diarist and shares his opinions and thoughts on culture and fashion, and we’d like to thank Phillipa Vincent-Connolly, who did so much to get the magazine to this point, as she has now left to pursue her PhD and historical writing career.
