Handwoven Winter Scarf, Tweed, Super Soft,

The scarf weighs 11.33 oz.

This thick, super soft scarf was handwoven using 100% baby alpaca (14-24 micron) with 100% superfine (19.5 micron) merino for the warp and my mega bulky handspun Falkland wool alternating with the superfine merino and baby alpaca yarns for the weft.

The resulting fabric is a subtle, white-on-white checked tweed.

Both the baby alpaca and superfine merino yarns are super soft and the alpaca also lends a bit of shine. The much thicker handspun Falkland wool creates a thick and heavy fabric - great for those extra cold winter days.

All my handwoven scarves are either one-of-a-kind or limited edition. When I repeat a particular weaving draft, I tend to use different colors and/or yarns, so that all my scarves are unique!

Perfect for a man or woman who prefers natural fiber accessories!

Each scarf bears my (washable) cork label.

Care

Hand wash, with lukewarm water with mild soap. A bit of hair conditioner can be added to the rinse water. Spin out water in the spin-only washer cycle, then lay flat to dry.
