My Battery: A Practical Activity Book for Kids
My Battery is a warm, illustrated 28-page activity book designed to help children notice their changing energy, understand what quietly uses their battery and discover what helps them recharge.
Created by psychologist Robynne Dixon, it combines short, child-friendly explanations with drawing activities, experiments, family games and practical communication tools.
Children can explore:
• what uses their battery
• early body and behaviour clues
• why school and enjoyable activities can still be tiring
• their personal ways to recharge
• words and signals for low-battery moments
• how to make an overwhelming task smaller
• ways to explain their needs at home and school
The activities are invitations rather than homework. Children can write, draw, talk, think quietly or leave a page blank.
Designed primarily for children aged approximately 7–12 years, with help from a parent, carer, or trusted adult where useful.
This is an immediate PDF download for personal family use. It provides general psychological education and does not replace individual assessment, diagnosis, therapy or medical advice.
