The A Taste of Brioche Cowl is a design dreamed up as I built my workshop of the same name. One of my favorite things is teaching knitters to master the skills and techniques they’ve been intimidated by in the past.

I set out with the goal to design a project that would provide the hands-on experience with the technique itself without needing to learn a new cast-on method or how to increase or decrease in brioche stitch.

The workshop includes more complex brioche knitting techniques to make it a more comprehensive introduction to Brioche Knitting, but the most important first step … before tackling those … is to be really comfortable with brioche stitches themselves.

Working with beautiful Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted yarn, the cowl knits up quickly in tonal but sharply contrasting colors to help make it easy to identify the construction of the stitches and what needs to happen next in each round.
