Soft and stylish, Argentum is worked seamlessly in the round using fingering yarn held together with a contrasting colour of lofty mohair lace yarn. Argentum mixes neat twisted rib edges with a subtle stepped garter stitch pattern to create textural and visual interest.

Yarn Requirements
437 yards/400 metres of fingering/4 ply yarn
and
437 yards/400 metres of mohair lace/2 ply yarn.
Both yarns are held together throughout.

This yarn combination can be substituted with 437 yards/400 metres of light worsted/DK/8 ply yarn.

Shown in Atelier Summit single ply fingering yarn (70% superwash merino wool, 30% silk; 437 yards/400 metres per 100 grams) in Silver Lining, 1 skein, and Knit Picks Aloft lace (72% super kid mohair, 28% silk; 260 Yards/238 metres per 25 grams) in Carbon, 2 balls.

Needles & Notions
8 US/5 mm circular needles, 24 inches/60 cm long, or needle size to obtain gauge; 1 stitch marker; Tapestry/yarn needle to weave in yarn ends.

Finished Measurements
All measurements are after blocking. Neck circumference: 26 inches/66 cm. Height: 22 inches/56 cm.

Gauge
17 sts and 28 rounds per 4 inches/10 cm in stepped garter stitch, knitted in the round, after blocking. Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.
