You are purchasing admission and handouts for a virtual class that takes place via Zoom.
Sunday, January 25
10am-1pm Pacific Time; 11am Mountain Time, 12pm Central, 1pm Eastern time
Class will be recorded and the recording will be available for 30 days afterwards.
This is a three-hour class, and it will include a short break in the middle.
What do the knitting pros know that you don't about sweater size and fit? In this class we'll get into the knitty-gritty of why your sweaters so often don't fit, and provide the knowledge and tools that will allow you to make sweaters that fit every time.
We'll work step-by-step through the planning stages of sweater knitting, from yarn choice, better body measurement, and choosing the right size, to how and where to make adjustments for differences in gauge or differences in sizing and shaping. You'll learn how to analyze the size of a pattern when it doesn't give schematics, how different arm/shoulder constructions affect fit, and how to change just about anything that's not working for you in a pattern.
We will take specific questions about patterns you want to make and specific fit issues you're experiencing as time allows.
Supplies:
Pencil and paper for notetaking.
If you wish, have handy a specific sweater pattern you are planning to make so you can refer to any problem areas or ask specific quesitons if you have them. If you've already made your swatch, bring that along, too!
Level: Students should have familiarity with sweater construction and have knit a sweater before, even if it was a baby/child's sweater.
Day and Time: Class takes place Sunday, January 25 10am-1pm Pacific Time (11am Mountain Time, 12pm Central, 1pm Eastern time).
You will receive the class handout and Zoom access info immediately upon purchasing the class, both on the website and in your email inbox. I record each virtual class session and make the recording available to registered participants for 30 days after the date of the class, so if something prevents you from attending, you will still have access to the class recording and all materials.
