Brigid Mitts

On Sale
Added to cart
The mock cables on these cosy mitts grow like ears of corn, leaves, or flames up the hand and thumb, giving a bit of extra stretch. They are named for Brigid the Celtic goddess of arts and crafts and black- smithing.
This pattern is a great stashbuster – the mitts require 40g of yarn so are great for using up stray balls of 4ply yarn or make the Brigid hat as well out of one 100g skein.

Increase the needles size to 3mm for a larger mitten.

To fit average woman’s hands.

32 stitches & 39 rows for 10cm in stocking stitch using 2.5mm needles.

50g/200m of wool or wool blend 4-ply yarn. Sample uses Twinkle (75% Merino, 20% Nylon, 5% Other) from
2.5mm double pointed needles.
