“Devon's Green and Pleasant Land” - Panorama
When Blake wrote of ‘England’s green and pleasant land’, everyone can envisage somewhere close to home. For me, it’s this scene in Bradninch, Devon. Aptly, this glorious perspective was taken from the farm gate near Christ Cross. This is classic English countryside, of rolling green hills, lush grass, ploughed fields, and blue skies.
This was a tricky shot to compile, shooting almost directly into the sun, whose rays you can see peering out from behind the top central cloud. The clouds however are crisp and details of the landscape provide constant viewing interest.
In terms of location, on the left you can see Hele Mill (zoomed view within detail preview image). On the right, the eye is drawn to an orchard, then towards Ellerhayes and beyond in the Exe Valley. The hill peaking out above the orchard in the distance is part of the Killerton estate.
This panorama is compiled from multiple photos, so will make a fantastic centrepiece printing to over a metre wide at the highest quality resolution of 300 pixels per inch (or even larger at lower resolutions).
Just want a quality and hand-made framed print of this stunning Devon scene? Or maybe an impactful print on acrylic / canvas? Get it here, delivered to your door and ready to hang on your wall: Green and Pleasant Land prints.
Tech Specs: Multiple photos on Canon 6D @ 28mm, ISO 400, f/16, 1320 sec. Stitched together and enhanced in Lightroom. JPEG download only.
