Developing Leadership Coaching

Learn the art of Situational Leadership as we focus on leadership skills

Situational Leadership

What is Situational Leadership, and How Do I Apply it?

Situational leadership is a flexible leadership style where leaders adjust their approach to the situation, the task, and the individuals they are managing. The theory was developed by Ken Blanchard and Paul Hersey and is also known as the Hersey-Blanchard Model.

Situational leadership is based on the idea that no single leadership style is best for all situations. Instead, leaders should consider the following factors when choosing how to lead.

Your Leadership Focus

Developing your leadership focus or point of view is our aim in the coaching sessions. Situational leadership is built on the idea that teams or individuals will be at different developmental levels in different areas of their job. Based on that context, leaders can adjust their approach to help individuals develop specific skills based on that person's unique needs and area of work.

If you get the logic about working with a Coach, then you will recognize that “A Coach just costs too much” is nothing but an excuse. Considering the ROI for effective coaching is a must.

If you believe the old adage ‘Time is money, then time costs you and your company money. Therefore, maximizing that time and using it in the right way matters. Most executives don’t need to work on their literal area of business expertise (although continuous learning is important), but what many fail to recognize is that leadership, too, is a skill.
