Circular Tapestry Online Weaving Class - Hoop Weaving and embroidering -Video tutorial + guide - By Nushu Textiles
ABOUT THIS ONLINE CLASS
In this third Online Weaving Class of the - Weaving Series projects of 2024 - you'll learn how to weave a circular tapestry from start to end and embroidering this adorable Strawberry plant design so there's always spring in your spaces.
In this class, as we did on the previous one, it is a mix of weaving and embroidery. We'll weave with thicker yarn to work on a bigger scale and focus more on the technique rather.
You'll get online, private and for life access to a full instructive video, a PDF guide that includes all the necessary information to get yourself started and go deep into this weaving project, plus my online support in case you have doubts before or during your weaving process through email or my social media @nushutextiles.
You can watch this class limitlessly, whenever you want and a many times.
Anyone can do this class, you don't need to have previous experience.
You'll learn:
- How to work with a circular structure/hoop to achieve the weaving of a tapestry
- Warp a hoop to weave in a spiral
- Embroider a (very cute) strawberries design with basic stitches, perfect for beginners
You'll achieve this design by moving forward through two stages: the first one weaving the background (with a thicker yarn), and the second one by embroidering all the details (fruit, flowers, stems), and as optional creating a braid to set your tapestry ready to hang.
At the end you'll have a textile that is warm, fresh and joyful to add up to your creations.
