Midnight Sun FPP Quilt Block Pattern
This digital block pattern includes 100% full-size templates to print and cut out for a Foundation Paper Piecing Block (this is not a tutorial explaining how to make a complete pillow!). The Mignight Sun block was inspired by the midnight sun in summerly Scandinavia, which never quite sets but is just above the horizon, illuminating the landscape in warm yellow glow.
This block tutorial is available in GERMAN (_DE) and ENGLISH (_ENG)!
Finished block size:
INCH: 16" x 16" with ¼" seam allowances.
Material for a 16" x 16" block:
* Dark gray background fabric: 10" x 10"
* Medium gray background fabric: approximately 8" x 42" (fabric width).
* 16 yellow/orange fabric strips: approximately 6" x 1¼" each.
Basic knowledge of Foundation Paper Piecing technique is assumed. There are many good tutorials on YouTube to get you started. You should also have a good working knowledge of curve sewing. The Midnight Sun block offers a variety of design options and is great for fabric scraps and also looks good in a combination of prints and solids. Or try a monochrome version....
