You know that family mediation is your next step so you're currently doing the training or you've completed it. Or maybe you did it some time ago and have never got the work you needed to make your mediation practice the size you want it to be? You're enthusiastic, energised and fired up. But then the realisation hits you...getting clients might be more difficult than you thought.
How on earth are you going to build your accreditation portfolio given the challenges of getting work and managing this alongside all the other demands on your time? How are you going to fulfil your dream of making some or all of your earnings from mediation?
Your energy and enthusiasm wanes a bit and if this has been going on for some time you may find it's dialled down significantly.
Fear not if this is you because I have been exactly where you are. I qualified as a mediator in 2012 and (I'm being frank here) I thought I'd knock my accreditation out the park in 6 months, maybe a year at the most.
I took a huge leap of faith in 2013 and set up a mediation practice because I knew I had a couple of people who would refer me mediation work. I quickly discovered that 2 referrers is nowhere near enough to sustain a mediation practice. So I had to learn skills to get me work so I could achieve accreditation and earn what I needed to.
This self-study course is everything I wish someone had sat me down and told me in 2013 to save me the hours of learning, worry and self-doubt and it's all for you.
I will talk you through the fundamentals of creating a vision, a business plan and a marketing plan and getting mediation work to help to you to meet the goals that you have.
I'll give you practical strategies and highlight some of the mistakes you might make (because I did) so you know these and how to avoid them.
I'm even giving you a template business plan and marketing plan to assist.
This course is suitable for new mediators who have just finished their training, mediators who trained a while back and accredited mediators looking to grow their mediation practice - whether you work alone or as part of a practice or service.
All the modules are approximately 20 minutes of self-study that you can work through at your own rate.
