GENDER IDENTITY AND THE ISSUE OF HUMAN SECURITY IN GHANA

This research explores the intersection between gender identity and human security in Ghana, focusing on how gender-based perceptions, inequalities, and social structures influence individuals’ safety, rights, and access to opportunities. It examines how gender identity affects experiences of security and insecurity, political, economic, and social, and the ways national and community policies respond to these challenges. A qualitative and analytical study drawing on existing literature, case studies, and policy analysis to understand how gender identity shapes social protection and individual well-being.
