I love the books I've read by Dakota Davies. She has become a favorite author of mine. She writes well with great storylines and wonderful characters. I love seeing characters from book to book as well as series to series. This can be a standalone, but you miss so much backstory. We finally get answers and I totally got it wrong as I was a guessing the outcome through this book. I wish we got more of Payton and her dad at the end. It seemed to wrap up pretty quickly. We got a steamy and suspenseful story where Seth and Cora had to overcome previous relationship ideas to get their beautiful HEA. I cannot wait for her next book!

I have not only read this book, but have listened to it as well! Robert Hatchet and Allyson Voller are EXCELLENT narrators. They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head. This was perfection!

Great storyline

This was an interesting read with plenty of drama suspense
romance and a few twist and turns thrown in that it kept me
on my toes trying to figure out who is behind all the bad things
going on in this town.
All round I found it to be an outstanding plot with very believable
and mostly likable characters.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book and the audio book
as well.

Another amazing addition to an already amazing series! I love Cora and Seth's story. I waited patiently for this audiobook and was not disappointed. Love, love, loved it. Definitely recommend reading and/or listening to it.

Answers and finding your one all in one

I loved Cora and Seth's story. Both felt like they needed the other. Cora helps Seth find his way when he's thrown into the running for sheriff. His need for a campaign director helps Cora find where and how she wants to start over. Together they find out who has been working to ruin thier peaceful, idealistic little town.

Sad to see this series end

This is the last book in the series and Cora and Seth’s story did not disappoint.
With their amazing chemistry I found myself wanting them to win his campaign to be Sheriff and also along the way sort out their feelings they have for each other.
Anxiously awaiting the final outcome of the investigation, along with the danger that each couple faced taking place throughout the series, the mystery was finally solved and the bad guys caught.
In a way it’s so bittersweet as I wanted to find out everything that lead to this ending but also didn’t want to say goodbye to all the wonderful characters in this book and all the previous stories.
This was a fast paced, action packed story with plenty of danger and collaboration from others leading to a well deserved victory.
Dakota sure can also write great steamy love scenes perfectly.
I loved, loved, loved this story and was lucky enough to have listened to the audiobook.
Both the narrators did an amazing job of bringing this story alive.
Well worth a listen.
