The Guest Who Forces the Puzzle Pieces | A Hearthside Study
A 12-page individual Bible study about partial understanding, discernment, and trusting God while the picture remains incomplete.
The color was close. The shape was convincing.
Until the next piece wouldn’t connect.
The Guest Who Forces the Puzzle Pieces begins with winter puzzles at my mother’s house—and a well-meaning guest who presses pieces into places where they almost fit. From that familiar scene comes a deeper question—where might we be forcing a timeline, decision, or explanation into the picture we’ve decided our lives should become?
Rooted in 1 Corinthians 13:12 and Ecclesiastes 3:11, this Hearthside Study considers the limits of our understanding, the difference between faithful perseverance and pressure, and the quiet value of seasons that seem to offer little visible progress. It invites us to act on what God has made clear while trusting Him with the pieces we cannot yet place.
Inside the 12-page designed PDF, you’ll find the original The Guest Who Forces the Puzzle Pieces essay, Scripture readings and context, eight guided study and reflection questions, personal reflection prompts, a closing prayer and application, and space for notes. The study can be worked through quietly on your own or shared informally with others around a table.
