Gordon: the Giving Socks (knitting pattern)
These socks feature fun, textured stripes worked up in a simple slipped stitch pattern that gives your foot a loving hug! They are worked from the toe up, with Fish Lips Kiss Heel, and finished with either rolled or folded cuffs. Choose two complementary colors, or work in a few accent stripes from your scrap bin.

Size: 7”, 7 1/2”, 8”, 8 1/2”, 9” (17.8, 19, 20.3, 21.6, 22.9cm) circumference, length is adjustable.
Gauge: 32 sts and 56 rounds is 4” in Texture Pattern worked in the round.
Needles: US1/2.25mm (or size to obtain gauge) in preferred style for small-circumferences.
Yarn (sock/fingering): approximately 250 yards/230m total.
On Modifications:
This pattern uses the Fish Lips Kiss Heel recipe. You can substitute your own favorite heel (an afterthought heel would work nicely), but I highly recommend investing in the Fish Lips Kiss recipe because it gives me the best-fitting, most comfortable socks I’ve ever worn.
You can easily make this pattern as a top-down sock.
Instructions are provided for both a roll-top cuff and a folded-over cuff. You can also simply work 1.5”/3.8cm in 1x1 rib and bind off using a stretchy method.
This pattern is named in honor of Simone Gordon, the Black Fairy Godmother. Simone is a living example of how the world is changed one life at a time.
