Floral Rhapsody is a two color half-pi (semi-circular) shawl, knit flat. It features sweet little assigned pooling flowers on a striped background. The shawl ends with a sweep of Old Shale lace edging.
Choose 2 coordinating skeins of fingering weight yarn, one of which is dyed for assigned pooling. A quick swatch of the two color stripe section will let you know if your color combination pleases you. This shawl uses most of the two skeins of yarn.
A video tutorial for the Trillium pooling stitch is provided in the pattern.
This shawl blooms into its full loveliness, and the half circle shape is achieved, when assertively wet blocked. Blocking is magic!
Thanks to tech editor Jen Lucas, test knitters Ann Berg, Ashely Meshioye, Elaina Hill, Heather Ashley, Karen Lauterwasser, and model Sharon Hsu.
Special thanks to Tammy Pelfrey/A Chick that Knitz, for the beautiful yarn for this design.
