Have you ever admired beautiful patchwork made from triangles and squares but thought it looked too complicated? This workshop will show you just how achievable it can be!

Using squares and simple triangle units, you'll create a beautiful leaf-inspired placemat with an elegant on-point design. Along the way you'll discover how a handful of carefully cut shapes can come together to create a striking patchwork pattern.

This workshop is ideal for beginners who want to build confidence with triangle piecing. I'll guide you through every step, sharing tips and techniques to help you cut accurately, match points neatly and achieve crisp, professional-looking results.

By the end of the session you'll have a beautiful quilted placemat to take home, together with the confidence to use triangles in many future patchwork projects.

Cut triangles accurately using a rotary cutter and quilting ruler.
Understand and create an on-point patchwork layout.
Match points with confidence.
Press seams for neat, flat blocks.
Assemble a striking leaf design from simple shapes.

Fabric Requirements
Please bring:

4 fat quarters 
Wadding: 14"x14" - most wadding is not heat resistant, so this mat is simply a placemat, it will not protect your table from heated plates.  There are heat-resistant waddings on the market, so do please check the label.
Matching sewing thread.
For the best results, please use 100% cotton quilting fabric.
