[SPH] MAS-36

The MAS-36 is a French bolt-action rifle developed in the 1930s and used extensively during World War II and later conflicts. Chambered in 7.5×54mm French, it features a five-round internal magazine loaded via stripper clips. The rifle has a 575mm barrel, an overall length of 1,020mm, and weighs approximately 3.7 kg. Designed for simplicity and durability, it has a rear-locking bolt, a bent bolt handle for faster cycling, and lacks a manual safety. Although it entered service just before France’s defeat in 1940, it remained in use throughout the First Indochina War, the Algerian War, and beyond. Its rugged design and reliability made it a dependable infantry rifle, even as semi-automatic weapons became more common.
