Walk in Boston # 15, discover the South End
This self-guided walk will allow you to see a superb concert hall and some jazz clubs, historic streets and a cathedral that would have its place in Europe, then visit artists' studios and art galleries.
You will also have an idea of what local people grow in their small private or communal gardens which are one of the characteristics of the neighborhood.
At point F, you can optionally go to Underground at Ink Block, a series of large murals created under part of the support structure of Highway 93. The place is very noisy but surprising.
To shorten the distances, you can rent a bike not far from there and you can also rent one a little after the start of the walk.
Finally, if you want to see only the most charming streets and spend more time visiting the art studios and galleries, take this walk in reverse; at the level of the cathedral, rent a bike to go elsewhere and read for later what is said about the music venues.
