Kadigan (n): a thingamajig, a wotsit.
This particular kadigan is a funky, versatile jacket with adventurous construction encouraging fun with colour combinations. Wear it closed, fold the fronts back or let them fall for three different looks! A contrast gore adds flair to the back view.
It’s also a remarkably enjoyable knit, not quite mindless, but not demanding much checking of the pattern. And it’s highly adaptable for a perfect fit, with no maths required (detailed notes are provided).
Photo tutorials are included for the crochet provisional cast-on, German short rows, and Kitchener/grafting in garter stitch.
Sizing (see schematic):
XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X), to fit bust of 76 (86.5, 96.5, 106.5, 117, 127, 137, 147.5) cm / 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58) in.
See schematic for full details. I recommend choosing a size based on upper arm measurement since all other aspects are easily adjustable on the fly.
