Pieter Brueghel the Younger is one of the most famous Flemish artists. A worthy member of the Bruegel family, a great artist, painter. Born in Brussels in 1564 or 1565. Has a nickname — Infernal. He is the son of the most famous Brueghel in his family — Peter Brueghel the Elder. His brother was the equally famous artist Jan Brueghel the Elder (Velvety).

His first paintings were copies of his father's works. From here he developed the basic manner of writing, which is inherent in all Bruegels. However, he later developed his own style. By that time, his father was no longer alive (Peter Brueghel the Elder died when the Youngest was only 4 years old), so he had to educate himself as a good artist on his own.

He got his nickname — Peter Brueghel the Infernal — thanks to his early passion for painting the Last Judgment. In his works, he depicted scenes of the Last Judgment, demons, the horrors of hell, witches, witches, etc. Subsequently, he moved away from these topics, but the nickname stuck to his name. As Peter the Infernal grows in his painting, more and more preference is given to ordinary and even everyday aspects of life — holidays, weddings, fights, events from rural life, etc. His painting was influenced not only by his father's art, which remained the dominant influence on all his work, but also by the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, whose influence is also clearly visible behind the plots and images in his paintings. It is worth saying that one of his students was also the famous artist Gonzales Cox.

The great Dutch, Flemish artist died on October 10, 1636 in Antwerp.
