Beyond Dead

Bridget Sway is newly dead. And confused.

Instead of cloud cars and harp-playing cherubs, the afterlife is working a full-time job that doesn’t pay and a heinous communal living situation with housemates who have no concept of privacy or personal space. As if that wasn’t bad enough, on her first day at work Bridget finds a dead ghost stuffed in her locker.

Dead and Buried

Newly dead Bridget Sway is struggling. And people have noticed.

She's facing a week-long group assessment filled with role-play exercises, team-building games, and personality tests designed to evaluate her adjustment. Or lack thereof. And because role-playing games aren’t bad enough, some inconsiderate murderer has shoved another dead ghost in her locker.

A Little More Dead

Newly dead Bridget Sway is surviving. For the moment.

Since she managed to solve two murder sprees, stay out of prison and pass her adjustment assessment, Bridget Sway is feeling pretty good about herself. That is, until the crazy homicidal ex-ward of her handsome parole officer escapes from Mendall Asylum.

Still Dead

Newly dead Bridget Sway is in her personal heaven. Because she’s shopping.

After an eternity with one outfit on a wash-and-wear cycle, Bridget is finally getting new clothes and she couldn’t be more happy. Until she finds the dead body of a familiar medium in the department store.

Utterly Dead

Newly dead Bridget Sway is getting by. Barely.

Between her regular job in Afterlife Arrivals, training for her second job with IA, her community service on The Bus of Death, GA meetings, taking care of her housemates and every other ghostly commitment in between, Bridget Sway is already stretched pretty thin. Then her best friend, Sabrina, drops a bombshell—she doesn’t think her death was accidental. She thinks she was murdered.

Dead Completely

Newly dead Bridget Sway is finally settled and content. Mostly.

When she gets her first assignment as an Independent Authority agent, Bridget is determined to close the simple matter of paperclip theft quickly and move on to something more challenging. As if on cue, she stumbles upon the dead body of the Commander of Afterlife Arrivals.

Unexpectedly Dead

Newly dead Bridget Sway is stuck in a rut. And utterly dissatisfied.

Her afterlife has devolved into a bleak, monotonous dead-body-free blur of work and home and work and she is slowly surrendering into the mundanity of it. And then someone starts murdering livies. With a scythe.

Dead Investigations

Bridget Sway has been dead for seven years. She and her best friend, Sabrina, are running a wildly successful private detective agency. She gets to wear what she wants, eat what she wants, she's even made peace with her communal living situation. Everything is … perfect.

And yet, once again, Bridget is drowning in dissatisfaction. The problem? No one is murdering anyone. So when a client’s potentially cheating husband goes missing, Bridget and Sabrina jump at the chance to do something different. And that’s when Bridget’s dream of finding a dead body comes true.

Wrongfully Dead

Not so newly dead Bridget Sway is making a difference. Sort of.

She and her best friend, Sabrina, are solving murders all over the show while minding their own business. And then Detective Johnson shows up at their office and drops a missing person’s case in their lap.

Although deeply suspicious of his motives, they decide it would be wise to at least give it a cursory investigation. Forewarned is forearmed, after all.

And that’s when things get messy.

Dead Confused

Bridget and Sabrina are considering a career change when a reporter brings them a case they can’t refuse.

A vandal is graffitiing a small area of Scarborough. Not earth shattering as cases go, but Bridget is certain the vandal is Petal, her newly-graduated-from-probation housemate.

Already unsure of how they’re going to get the reporter off Petal’s trail, things go from bad to worse when Bridget finds a doubly dead guy sitting in front of some fresh graffiti.

With a new Detective Johnson being far too understanding and suspects dropping dead at every turn, can Bridget and Sabrina unmask the murderer before the blame is pinned on Bridget’s housemate?

Finally Dead

Death doesn’t mean what it once did to Bridget Sway.

When Bridget Sway’s friend is murdered during a seance, Bridget and her best friend, Sabrina, vow to bring the killer to justice. The problem? The seance took place in the alive world which means the killer is very likely a livie. And they have no jurisdiction in the livie world.

With very few options of how to proceed, Bridget and Sabrina decide to shadow the livie detective as he investigates the death.

With this livie detective’s unintentional help, will Bridget and Sabrina be able to identify the killer or will the murderer cross mortal lines and make doubly dead ghosts out of Bridget and Sabrina to cover their tracks?

Dead Conclusion

It’s Bridget Sway’s deathiversary and the afterlife is pulling out all the stops.

Bridget Sway is still uncertain about her future as a private investigator. But when the Bureau of Ghostly Affairs invites her and her business partner, Sabrina, to give a presentation at a conference, they can’t really say no.

Thinking it will be all tea, biscuits and boring speeches, Bridget isn’t expecting too much excitement. Until she finds a dead body. That’s not totally out of the ordinary for Bridget, but something about this murder has echoes of the past.

Will Bridget be able to solve this last murder as neatly as she solved her first or will her past murder her too?
