Employer Outreach Pitch Writer AI Prompt: Job Site Recruiting, Ages 14 to 21
You know the businesses in your town that would be a good fit. What eats the time is writing the first email, making the cold call, and having honest answers ready when the manager asks, "Who pays? What about insurance? Do I have to hire them?" I built this prompt for my own job development work. You name the business type, your town type and state, what you're asking for (paid job, paid work experience, unpaid work experience, or job shadow), what your program brings, the tasks that could fit, and who to contact by role. The AI tool your district allows gives back a full first draft outreach kit tailored to that business: a cold email, a phone script, a voicemail, a follow up email, honest answers to likely employer questions, and TEAM INPUT NEEDED flags.
What the prompt gives you back (8 labeled sections):
• A PII check, so the AI flags anything identifying (including real business or staff names) before it writes
• A pitch snapshot: who you're contacting, the exact ask, and 3 honest benefits to the business
• A cold email with a subject line, under 150 words
• A 60 to 90 second phone script, with a front desk line and a polite "not right now" close
• A voicemail under 30 seconds
• A short follow up email for 5 to 7 business days later
• A likely objections table: Question or concern | Honest answer | What to confirm first
• TEAM INPUT NEEDED flags for pay source, insurance, supervision, district approval, and who at the business decides
What's inside:
• The copy ready prompt, as a PDF page and a plain text file that copies cleanly
• How to use it with ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or Gemini
• A NO STUDENT PII guide with quick de identify swaps, plus placeholders like [BUSINESS NAME] and [MANAGER NAME] so real names never go into the AI tool
• An Outreach Worksheet that matches the prompt's 7 brackets
• A Weak vs. Strong input guide
• A review checklist to use before anyone contacts a business
Great for:
• Transition coordinators and job developers who need more community job sites
• 18 to 21 programs and work based learning teams recruiting paid or unpaid placements
• Small town and rural teams where the pitch has to sound like a neighbor, not a salesperson
Please note: never enter student names, identifying information, or real business or staff names. Follow your district's AI, work based learning, community partnership, and data privacy policies. Outputs are drafts. This is not legal, tax, or insurance advice. The prompt never promises pay sources, tax credits, insurance coverage, or hiring, and it tells businesses to confirm wage, tax, and labor questions with their own advisor. It is NOT a training agreement, NOT a job carving proposal, and NOT a decision on any student's services, placement, or pay. Once a business says yes, use my Work Based Learning Training Plan Builder AI Prompt to plan the placement.
