ITP E-015 Cable Containment - Inspection and Test Plan Template with Worked Example (Excel, UK, 2026)

Containment is where most electrical rework originates: wrong support centres, missing fire-stopping, and routes clashing with other services. This ITP front-loads the checks that are cheap before cabling and expensive after.

Points specific to this activity:
- Support spacing comes from the manufacturer and the specification, not from BS 7671. Cite the manufacturer's installation instruction by document and section.
- Fire-stopping of penetrations is a special process under PR-013: it cannot be verified after the finish goes on, so it is a hold point with a photographic record per penetration.
- Segregation from other services and from Band I/Band II circuits (BS 7671 Section 528) is checked before cabling, when it can still be corrected.
