SMALL - pattern for a small crossbody bag
SMALL is just that - a small but mighty, crossbody bag that is perfect companion for BIG or for just about any quick outing. It is the sort of bag you just grab and go because it is light-weight but can hold all the things you need - phone, cards, folding money, glasses, keys.
Written for regular, waxed canvas, or waterproof canvas exterior and is easily adapted for other fabrics. If you use quilt-weight cotton consider adding extra stabilizer such as fusible fleece.
Quilt-weight cotton is suitable for the lining as is light poly or nylon for more durability.
Front flap is is written using the exterior fabric but is suitable for highlighting with a unique panel or feature or the lining fabric.
Is a perfect companion to, and fits perfectly into, BIG.
Make SMALL with a narrow cording strap or make a self strap with fabric. Use a non-woven contrast for the base. Or get wild and use it for the strap loops too.
OUTSIDE FEATURES:
Under a front flap, there are four card slots and a deeper pocket for folding money and/or change pouch.
The flap stays secure with a magnetic snap.
On the back is a zippered pocket that allows you to stow your phone—all but the largest—when you carry SMALL by herself. Or to stow away whatever—chocolate perhaps.
Attractive contrast base that provides added structure and matches BIG.
Simple twisted cording or paracord crossbody strap with optional bead accents.
Optional self made strap.
INSIDE FEATURES:
Inside is simple - one slip pocket.
