The Ministry Structure Pack: Eleven Documents Every Church Should Have — And Most Do Not

Short blurb (one line)

The written structure that lets a ministry survive its founder, protect its people, and be trusted with what it is given.

£66.00 (market equivalent in other currencies)

A ministry that runs entirely in one person's head cannot outlive that person.

Most churches are held together by memory, habit, and the personal integrity of whoever is leading—not because anyone chose it that way, but because nobody ever wrote the structure down. It works until the leader is ill, or absent, or gone, and there is nothing underneath to catch the fall.

The Ministry Structure Pack is the answer to that gap: eleven working documents drawn from The Missing Link in Pentecostal Practice and Building and Leading Spirit-Led Ministries, each addressing one domain of church health — doctrine, accountability, safeguarding, finances, discipleship, governance, and succession among them.

Every template is supplied twice: as an editable Word document you adapt to your own church, and as a print-ready PDF you can complete by hand.

What is in the pack?

1. Statement of Faith — a written confession your leaders sign and your members are taught

2. Accountability and Oversight Charter — named internal and external oversight, with financial controls

3. Discipleship Pathway—every stage from first contact to disciple-maker, with a named leader

4. Membership and Leadership Covenant—what members and leaders commit to, and the restoration path

5. Safeguarding Policy—recruitment, safe practice with children and with adults at risk, and a six-step response to a concern

6. Financial Policy and Controls—controls on receiving, spending, remuneration, and reporting

7. Teaching and Preaching Review—a record of what is preached, tested for drift

8. Leadership Appointment Record—character, doctrine, and references tested before appointment

9. House Fellowship Handbook—a pattern, boundaries, and oversight for small groups

10. Community Engagement Plan—one condition in your community and what you will do about it

11. Succession and Continuity Plan—what happens to this ministry without you

Each document is introduced by a Start Here guide explaining where to begin (the Accountability and Oversight Charter and the Safeguarding Policy come first—these are the two that prevent the failures that end ministries) and how to use the pack as a working leadership team exercise, not a solo paperwork task.

Where this pack comes from

The pack is the companion to the free WAMI Church Health Snapshot and the WAMI Full Church Health Diagnostic. Most of the areas those tools measure have a document here that answers them directly, so a diagnostic that flags a weakness points you at the template that closes it—rather than leaving you to build each one from nothing.

Please note

These are a sound structure, not legal advice. Background checking, charity registration, employment, and data protection requirements differ by country—have your safeguarding and financial policies reviewed locally before adoption.

Written for

Senior pastors, associate pastors, trustees, administrators, and any ministry leadership team that wants what it does today to still be standing—properly—in ten years.
