Advanced Weather System

Description:
A high-quality Roblox weather framework with scheduled rain, snowstorms, cinematic lightning and thunderstorms, blendable Lighting Presets, seamless skybox transitions, configurable camera droplets, indoor/outdoor detection, and fully customizable weather zones.
Adaptive Rain Splashes
Splashes impact real surfaces instead of a single flat transparent plane, allowing them to land more naturally across uneven ground and complex geometry, including slopes, rocks, stairs, pyramids, and other detailed terrain, for a more realistic and dynamic look. (Watch video demo for examples)

Custom Day Cycle (Lighting Presets)
Roblox’s default day/night cycle was boring, overly sensitive to lighting and could make certain times of the day unpleasant to play in, negatively impacting player experience. Certain hours of the day would become either washed out and too bright or just excessively dark and overly hazy. To fix this, our system uses a custom day/night cycle driven by curated Lighting Presets that dynamically swap based on the current ClockTime. This keeps visibility in your experience consistent while preserving the feel of time passing, without actually changing the GeographicLatitude (Sun and moon path/angle across the sky) and the harsh lighting that comes along with it.

Fully Configurable Weather Scheduling
Control exactly when any weather starts, how long it lasts, how often it occurs, or make it fully random. Per-weather visuals, audio layering, timing, and behavior are all fully adjustable.
Camera Droplets
Fully configurable camera droplets with adjustable size, transparency, color, spawn rate, fade timing, position offsets, and more, with separate settings for Rain, Snow, and Thunder, plus global options to enable or disable droplets for specific weather types, and to control whether they fade out as players look downward and fade back in as they look up.
Skybox Transitions (Cloud Masking)
Clouds gradually cover the sky to hide skybox swaps, allowing lighting and weather transitions to happen naturally behind them before clearing away, instead of changing instantly and abruptly. You can customize the cloud color, fade-in and fade-out speed, and how long the clouds remain visible before fading for each weather type.
Performance (Local VFX)
Weather events and Lighting Presets cycle globally on the server, while expensive visuals run locally per-player on the client, such as rain particles, camera droplets, lightning flashes, lightning bolts, splash emitters etc. Resulting in smoother performance across all devices even at higher graphics settings.
Blacklist Roof Raycast Support
Exclude specific objects such as trees, arches, canopies, and roofs from 'indoor detection' so the current weather and Lighting Preset ambience, (SFX + VFX) do not incorrectly stop beneath them. (Watch video demo for an example.)
Sound System (Indoor/Outdoor Mixing)
Includes full indoor and outdoor sound sets for every weather type and Lighting Preset, with smooth crossfades based on whether the player is inside or outside. Roofs, trees, and other overhead parts can also be blacklisted if you do not want them treated as cover. Players indoors hear indoor ambience with outdoor-only weather visuals fully hidden, while players outdoors experience the full outdoor sounds and VFX.
Video tutorial included for uploading the .MP3 files and pasting SoundIds correctly to their corresponding sound objects into SoundService.
Weather Zones
Players can walk into designated Weather Zone parts to instantly experience Rain, Snow, or Thunder. If you want all players to experience the same weather zones in specific parts of your map, simply scale the zone part larger to cover those areas. You can also choose to disable weather zones entirely if you prefer not to use them!
