Bait Suite is the second in a suite of suites based on fishing. There are three suites in total, beginning with Tackle Suite and ending with Catch Suite. Each of the suits is based on different compositional techniques.

Bait Suite is built from a twelve tone chord technique that I call Love Note Chords, a sequel to my previous technique I used to call Spider Chords. 

All three of the fishing suites are for advanced trumpet players. This is not to say that less advanced students can't laern and perform the fishing suites. But the compositions are novelties, and it seems a waste to invest so much practice and rehearsal time into novelties.

That said, this is the most popular of the three suites. And in fact, it is the most popular of all of our modern compositions.
