Core Wound Resolution for Empaths & Overwhelmed Self-Employed Women
Gently release the emotional patterns that have been shaping your life, energy, and choices.
If you’re an empath or a self-employed woman, chances are you feel deeply, give generously, and carry more than most people realise.
You may look capable on the outside — but inside you feel:
- emotionally tired
- overwhelmed by responsibility
- stuck in repeating patterns
- unsure why certain emotions keep resurfacing
This is not because you’re doing anything wrong.
It’s often because core wounds are quietly influencing how your nervous system, emotions, and energy respond to life.
If your body feels tired, your mind full, and your heart heavy, you’ve come to the right place
What is Core Wound Resolution?
Core Wound Resolution is a gentle, yet powerful, process that works with the emotional and energetic imprints created through life experiences.
These wounds often form early and sit beneath conscious awareness, shaping how we:
- respond to stress
- relate to others
- feel safe (or unsafe)
- give, receive, and rest
- show up in our work and relationships
Rather than talking around the issue, Core Wound Resolution works directly with the body, nervous system, and energy field, allowing the root of the pattern to release.
The 10 Core Wounds We Can Work With
Many people carry more than one core wound. Common wounds include:
- Fear – fear of failure, success, or being seen
- Shame – feeling unworthy or not enough
- Anger – suppressed frustration or resentment
- Jealousy – comparison and feeling behind
- Sadness – unprocessed grief or emotional heaviness
- Guilt – over-responsibility and self-blame
- Lack – scarcity around time, money, or support
- Powerlessness – feeling stuck or unable to change things
- Betrayal – difficulty trusting yourself or others
- Loneliness – feeling unseen or disconnected
You don’t need to analyse these — we work with what your system is ready to release.
Core wounds are not flaws or failures.
They are protective patterns your nervous system learned to help you cope, often formed early in life or through repeated experiences.
Over time, these patterns can quietly shape how you think, feel, and respond — especially under stress.
Below are the 10 core wounds we can work with, how they often show up, and what changes when they’re released.
Fear
Shows up as: anxiety, hesitation, avoidance, overthinking, fear of being seen or failing.
When released: you feel calmer, more confident, and able to move forward without constant inner tension.
Shame
Shows up as: self-doubt, feeling “not enough,” hiding parts of yourself, harsh inner criticism.
When released: you feel worthy, at ease being yourself, and less driven by comparison or self-judgement.
Anger
Shows up as: frustration, irritability, resentment, emotional suppression or sudden outbursts.
When released: you feel clearer, calmer, and able to express yourself with healthy boundaries.
Jealousy
Shows up as: comparison, envy, feeling behind, questioning your own path.
When released: you feel grounded in yourself, inspired rather than triggered by others, and more confident in your own timing.
Sadness
Shows up as: emotional heaviness, low energy, difficulty moving on, quiet grief.
When released: you feel lighter, more emotionally balanced, and able to reconnect with joy and vitality.
Guilt
Shows up as: over-responsibility, people-pleasing, difficulty resting, constant self-blame.
When released: you feel freer, clearer in your boundaries, and able to choose yourself without inner conflict.
Lack
Shows up as: scarcity around time, money, energy, or support; constant pressure; fear of not having enough.
When released: you feel safer, more supported, and able to receive with ease rather than effort.
Powerlessness
Shows up as: feeling stuck, overwhelmed, unable to change things, or resigned.
When released: you feel empowered, resourced, and more able to make aligned choices.
Betrayal
Shows up as: difficulty trusting, emotional walls, hyper-vigilance, second-guessing yourself or others.
When released: you feel safer in connection and more trusting of your own inner guidance.
Loneliness
Shows up as: feeling unseen, disconnected, or separate even when around others.
When released: you feel more connected, supported, and at home within yourself.

This isn’t coaching or talk therapy — it’s a deeply grounding experience where you and your nervous system get the space to unwind, settle, and shift.
Sessions are held over Zoom and last 45–60 minutes. You’ll be gently guided through the process while remaining present, aware, and supported throughout. There’s no need to relive past experiences or analyse what’s coming up — we work with what your system is ready to release in the moment.
The focus is on creating safety, regulation, and ease, allowing old emotional patterns to soften naturally. Many people describe the session as calming, relieving, and deeply supportive, often noticing subtle but lasting shifts in how they feel afterwards.

Testimonials
Lynsey:
Romella is a great space holder with a calm and kind presence. It was good to initially discuss the core wound of lack which helped me to realise the different layers to it. I felt supported during the session and afterwards. Highly recommend.
RM
Romella - The Core Wounding Releasing Process helped me release the wound of Powerlessness. The depth, grace, and precision of her holding was transformative.
I’ve always loved exploring different modalities—each one a key, a frequency, a mirror.
And I’ve worked with some truly extraordinary ones.
Hannah De Quincey
Having a core wound resolution session with Romella in June on the wound of anger was a step forward on my healing journey.
It was educational hearing of all the internal and external impacts of unhealed anger wounds and in all honesty, deeply saddening. Then when we moved onto releasing the emotion I just felt so grateful there could be a way out and for this topic to be addressed openly with kindness.
Anger is a big issue in society and pushed into the shadows rather than dealt with healthily currently, hence the issue continues!
Although I didn't intellectually understand things, I felt supported by Rom and I intuitively know the session was a release for me and has helped me move forward in how I respond to the emotion of anger when it comes up.
I am still using the finger position she taught me of truthfulness which helps release the core wound of anger. I dream of a world of peaceful relationships and everyone feeling the truth that they are love - Rom's work is vital to help us get there.
