G. Ph. Telemann: „Sonate a-Moll“ für Kontrabass und Basso continuo

Diese Sonate ist eine Transkription der Sonate a-Moll für Viola da Gamba und Basso continuo. Die vier Sätze bieten dem Interpreten Gelegenheit zu getragen-gesanglichem sowie ausgelassen-virtuosem Spiel. Der Originaltext ist neben den Verzierungen ersichtlich. Sicherheit in den höheren Lagen ist erforderlich. Die Verwendung eines Cembalos mit Continuo-Bassinstrument ist bei dieser Sonate zu empfehlen, wofür den Noten eine eigene Continuo-Stimme beiliegt. Diese Bearbeitung ist für den Kontrabass in Solostimmung vorgesehen, trotzdem liegt eine transponierte Klavierstimme bei.

This sonata is a transcription of the Sonata in A minor for viola da gamba and basso continuo. The four movements offer the performer the opportunity to play in both a solemn, songful and exuberant, virtuoso manner. The original text is visible alongside the ornaments. Confidence in the higher registers is required. The use of a harpsichord with continuo bass instrument is recommended for this sonata, for which a separate continuo part is included with the sheet music. This arrangement is intended for the double bass in solo tuning, although a transposed piano part is included.
