Boccherini's "Minuet" for Violin Duet and Piano
This famous Minuet of Boccherini has been arranged here for two Violins with piano accompaniment.
Boccherini (1743-1805) wrote over a hundred of string quintets, and this is an arrangement of the most famous of them all- The minuet from his E major quintet opus 11.
It has been simplified into B flat major with a range of about 2 octaves for the violins- also it has some simplified ornamentation. Most of the instrumental work is on the stave, The parts have been shared fairly equally as to not favour one or the other. Bowing has been left to the player
