About Blue Skies
Blue Skies Weather is a New Zealand seasonal climate forecasting service producing outlooks and briefings for agricultural, horticultural, viticultural, and energy-sector clients. We translate international climate model guidance into practical, regionally-specific operational planning information — the kind of analysis that helps farmers, growers, and infrastructure operators make decisions about feed, stocking rates, irrigation, fire risk, harvest timing, and storage management on a seasonal scale.
This shop is where you'll find our standalone reports and briefings, available as one-off purchases. For ongoing seasonal and six-week outlooks, our subscription service is hosted on Substack.
What's available here
One-off purchase reports covering specific climate events and seasons. Each report is a designed, professionally-produced PDF translating climate forecasting into the operational decisions our subscribers actually face.
Reports currently available are listed below. Each is independently useful, written for a specific audience — typically rural decision-makers without deep meteorological backgrounds — and includes confidence ratings on every call so readers can calibrate their own response.
Looking for something else?
Ongoing seasonal and six-week outlooks — these are subscription products and live on Substack at bswx.substack.com. The paid tier includes monthly seasonal outlooks, weekly six-week outlooks, and standalone reports like the ones in this shop, plus direct email access for sector- or catchment-specific questions.
Custom and consulting work — for tailored briefings, catchment- or sector-specific work, and farm-level consultations, see our main site at blueskies.co.nz or email tony@blueskies.co.nz directly.
Free content — the free tier of the Blue Skies Substack carries a preview of each outlook and occasional public posts. A good way to see the work before subscribing.
