About Me
The Informed Homeschool was built by an educator, researcher, and instructional leader with more than 20 years working inside Australian schools — as a teacher, mentor, and curriculum specialist across early childhood, primary, and secondary settings.
After two decades seeing firsthand how the system struggles to meet the needs of every learner, one thing became clear: too many children, particularly those who are neurodivergent or simply wired differently, fall through the gaps.
When families make the decision to homeschool, they're often doing it because they know their child better than any system does. But navigating registration requirements, curriculum frameworks, and learning support without expert guidance is overwhelming — and the information out there is scattered, inconsistent, and rarely written by someone who actually understands how schools and curriculum work from the inside.
The Informed Homeschool exists to change that. To put 20 years of curriculum expertise, registration knowledge, and evidence-based practice directly into the hands of families doing the hard and important work of educating their children outside the system.
