Anyone who has spent any amount of time online, especially if you’ve looked into any kind of mental health advice or information, would know how much therapy-speak and psychobabble there is permeating the socials.
You can find anything online, from how to fix yourself in 6 easy steps to “things your therapist won’t tell you” and “4 years of therapy in 1 minute”. Some of it has merit. Some of it is horseshit. Some of it is just unnecessary.
Apart from that…there is so much of it. We all know how algorithms work by now. You watch one video, suddenly your feed is full of it. We’re being bombarded, from all angles, with all kinds of therapy messages.
We’re overflowing with information.
We have no empathy.
It means nothing.
The Purpose Of Knowledge
Knowledge and information exist to teach and inform. Once you’re informed, you have a better understanding of whatever it is you’re dealing with.
That’s fantastic. That’s the point of knowledge.
