There’s an obvious split in our collective consciousness right now. Those who are loyal to the social survival script. Those who are actively challenging the script. And those who are functionally frozen between the extremes. But we’re all existing under the same survival script. What’s driving that script? Money.
Those who are loyal to the script would cheer. Those challenging it would say it’s not about the money. And those frozen between are indecisive about it. To really find your footing in this, the flow of money has to be understood paradoxically. Our very identities are tied to the flow of money, whether we want it to be or not.
Many people have a very twisted concept of this flow because of the many variations of the manifestation process. Their approach is desperate and comes from a place of lack and survival. People feel stuck between a rock and a hard place and want to get out. Quickly.
Now, that's not a bad thing, but it is a thing where the rock and the hard place and being stuck have been villainized. What’s really happening is moralized resistance. People resist where they are and want a quick fix because what truly satisfies them lies on the other side.
Then the manifestation process gets reduced to money and material things. Recite and repeat affirmations, and perform rituals to get out of that stuck place. “I love money, money loves me.” “I’m a powerful manifesto.” “All things are possible for me.” “Money flows to me effortlessly.”
Money and material things are simply tools—neutral channels for personal energy to flow through. Which means if you're operating out of survival desperation, that is the energy your money and your material things will operate in. Within that context, you don't “love money, and money doesn't love you.” You love capitalism. You love corporatism, elitism, all the isms. They feed on desperation, exploit, and extract to generate and circulate material and relational wealth and gain.
It is important to be mindful of comparing yourself to those operating in that pattern and then aspiring to be like them. If an empire is being built off of that, then that's not wealth. That's not abundance. That's just a flashier form of desperation and lack.
Every rock and hard place that you feel stuck in is not there to confuse and throw you off course. Conversely, everything that can bring you out of that rock and hard place isn't there to bring peace and clarity. It’s for you to change your emotional reaction to being stuck, so that you can know peace in the middle of no peace. As you move into more of it, everyone that's connected to you moves into more of it.
We’re all emotional beings, but the survival script trains us to be more logical. As a result, we collectively have a dysfunctional relationship with our emotions. We are in a collective identity crisis, and each person is on guard for different reasons.
Every connection we make is there to help us form a deeper, honest, and clean connection with ourselves. But the survival conditions leave us not knowing if heavy emotions are more of a temporary shift in mood or circumstance, or if they’re the result of unprocessed mental, emotional, and behavioral patterns. So, when people show you who they are—whether it’s emotionally light or heavy—we’re conditioned to believe them the first time and respond accordingly. Consequently, you lose the chance to expand repair capacity and conflict-resolution skills.
People don’t show who they are. They show how they’re being. This is the opportunity to observe patterns. Who they are is not to be confused with gender, orientation, job title, or economic status. That’s what they have. Are they sad and anxious most of the time? Are they happy and calm most of the time? That’s who they are. Mental, emotional, and behavioral patterns are how they’re “being.”
No one has conscious power over anyone else in a connection. Everyone has conscious power over their own emotional response. Practice the habit of pausing. Returning to the breath and the body. This is how you get clear with who you are and how you’re being in relation to whoever shows up.
Just like there are functional alcoholics and drug abusers, there are functional sad and anxious people who are performing “happy” and sober. The moment something shifts in the survival script, it exposes the unprocessed sadness and anxiety. If a connection exposes that within you, be completely honest about that. Communicate that clearly and coherently to give all parties the opportunity to decide whether working through it together is the best practical option or consciously separating.
The goal here is to face and process the survival codependency of money, material things, and relational connections. This is how you reshape and refine your sincerest identity. Money flows in, but it’s often small trickles of it. What trickles in is usually the cleanest flow of it. The larger flow of it is often still connected to exploitative channels. The same holds true for the material and relational connections. Most people aren’t as aligned with their body-level truth as they may claim. Coherent truth becomes the filter. You won’t receive anything in full unless it’s cleanly aligned.
Those who are coded to be coherently aligned with you in a big way are often not ready to rise to the occasion. Keep holding the signal, speaking the truth, modeling it with what you have, and pay attention to what multiplies.
