Esther Cortez

Lead Laboratory Technician

Hello! I'm María Esther Cortez, and I've been passionate about microbiology since I was a child. I always dreamed of uncovering the invisible mysteries that make up our world, and today I dedicate my life to exploring and sharing the vast universe of microbial science.

I am Ecuadorian and completed my undergraduate studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, specializing in clinical and applied microbiology. Later, I directed my career toward agricultural, water, and food microbiology. I have had the opportunity to implement and lead quality control processes, validation, and accreditation of various microbiological techniques in specialized food and environmental laboratories in Quito.

In the agricultural sector, I have worked with various institutions, conducting phytopathology analyses, agricultural microbiology, and research and development projects for microorganisms used in agriculture. To complement my education, I pursued postgraduate studies at the Universidad Agraria del Ecuador, earning a Master's in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture. This specialization has enabled me to develop an integrated approach to agroecological crop management, basing my consultations on solid foundations in agricultural microbiology.

If you would like to learn more about my background or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at cortezesther07@gmail.com. I'm here to share knowledge and continue growing together in the fascinating world of microbiology!
