1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a product, or joining the Ongoing Support membership, through this Payhip store ("the Store"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not complete your purchase or sign up.
2. What We Sell
The Store offers digital resources connected to my therapeutic and reflective work, made available in the following ways:
- The Library — individual guides, audio reflections, and recordings, each available as a one-time purchase.
- Ongoing Support — a recurring membership subscription (billed monthly or annually) that gives you access to every new addition to The Library as it is released, together with reflections and resources available only to members.
- The Woman Who Stayed — a standalone ebook, available as a one-time purchase.
Important: These digital products are educational and self-help materials only. They are not a substitute for psychotherapy, medical treatment, or professional mental health care, and purchasing a product or joining Ongoing Support does not create a therapist-client relationship. If you are seeking therapy services, please contact us directly at praxis@chifofoma.com.
3. Purchases and Payment
- All purchases are completed through Payhip's checkout system.
- Payments are processed by Payhip's third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- All prices are listed in EUR. For digital products and memberships sold to consumers within the EU, VAT is calculated and collected automatically by Payhip at checkout at the rate applicable in your country of residence.
- Ongoing Support is a recurring subscription. By joining, you authorize us (via Payhip and Stripe) to automatically charge your chosen payment method at the start of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on the plan you selected) until you cancel.
- You are responsible for providing accurate billing information at checkout.
4. Delivery of Digital Products
- One-time purchases (Library items, the ebook) are delivered digitally and instantly upon successful payment, via download link and/or email, through Payhip's delivery system. Each file may be downloaded up to 5 times, to accommodate lost downloads or device changes.
- Ongoing Support membership content is delivered through ongoing access to your Payhip member account for as long as your subscription remains active, rather than as a one-time download.
- No physical goods are shipped.
- It is your responsibility to keep your own backup copies of downloaded files; we are not a file storage or backup service.
5. Right of Withdrawal — Please Read Carefully
Under EU consumer protection law, you normally have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
However, because our products are digital content delivered immediately upon purchase, by completing your purchase — or, for Ongoing Support, by completing your first payment and joining — you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, in accordance with Section 18(1) of the Austrian Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz (FAGG) / Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
For Ongoing Support, this waiver is confirmed once, at the point you join, and covers the immediate delivery of member access at that time. It does not affect your ability to cancel the membership going forward — see Section 7 below for how cancellation works.
Important implementation note: under EU law, this waiver must be actively and separately confirmed by the customer before the order is placed — a clause in this document alone is not sufficient. Payhip's checkout consent-question feature is used to obtain this confirmation at checkout.
If a product turns out to be faulty, corrupted, or not as described, contact us at praxis@chifofoma.com — see our refund policy below.
6. Refunds
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If a file is corrupted, undeliverable, or materially not as described, contact us within 14 days of purchase at praxis@chifofoma.com and we will provide a replacement file or a refund at our discretion. Because these are instantly delivered digital goods, refunds are not available simply for change of mind once the withdrawal waiver above has been accepted.
7. Membership Cancellation, Failed Payments, and Price Changes
- Cancellation. You may cancel your Ongoing Support membership at any time. Cancellation stops future billing, but your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for — you will not lose access immediately, and you will not receive a partial refund for the remaining time in that period.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method up to two more times. If payment still cannot be collected, we will notify you by email and give you a one-week grace period to update your payment details before your membership access is suspended.
- Price changes. If we increase the price of Ongoing Support in future, existing members will be given at least 30 days' advance notice by email before the new price takes effect on their next renewal. You may cancel before that date if you do not wish to continue at the new price.
8. Eligibility
Our products are not directed at, and should not be purchased or joined by, individuals under the age of 18. By making a purchase or joining Ongoing Support, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
9. Third-Party Platform
This Store operates on Payhip, a third-party e-commerce platform. Payhip handles checkout, payment processing (via Stripe), and file delivery. Your use of Payhip's checkout is also subject to Payhip's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available at payhip.com.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the digital products, including any technical issues with the Payhip platform or Stripe that are outside our control. As noted in Section 2, our products are educational and self-help materials, not therapy or professional advice; to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for outcomes, decisions, or actions you take based on their content. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you in connection with a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product (or, for Ongoing Support, the amount paid in the billing period in which the issue arose). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Austrian or EU law (e.g. for gross negligence, intentional harm, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For one-time purchases, the version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction. For Ongoing Support, the updated Terms take effect once posted here, and your continued membership after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms; if you do not agree with a change, you may cancel as described in Section 7.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Austrian law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also rely on mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence. Disputes will, where possible, first be addressed informally — please contact us at praxis@chifofoma.com. EU consumers may also use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
