My Commitment to Accessibility

I want https://payhip.com/sarahdewhirst to be a welcoming and supportive space for as many people as possible, including those with disabilities, neurodivergence, chronic illness, or any accessibility needs.

While I don’t have a full development team or all the tools larger companies use, I care deeply about creating an inclusive, respectful experience, and I'm always learning how to do better.

What I’m Aiming For

• Clear, readable fonts and high-contrast text
• Simple navigation and logical content structure
• Descriptive alt text on images (in progress)
• Minimal use of flashing or visually overwhelming elements
• Compatibility with screen readers and assistive tools (to the best of my platform’s ability)

I’m also mindful of sensory load, attention fatigue, and trauma sensitivity in how I write and present content.

Areas for Ongoing Improvement

Because this site is built using third-party platforms like Payhip and other web tools, some accessibility features may be outside my direct control. I’m actively exploring ways to:

• Improve mobile and screen reader compatibility
• Ensure all course and blog content is accessible in both visual and text-based formats
• Offer transcripts or summaries for audio/video content where possible
