You can sell samples through Payhip, easily and without paying anything upfront. Simply create a Payhip account, add a new product, upload your samples (probably in WAV and/or MP3 format), then set a price. You can sell your product through your online storefront, which Payhip provides for free, or through your own website. Payhip takes a small (5%) commission of each sale you make.
It's up to you what to charge for your samples. Normally, you'll put together a pack of samples in the same genre and you could charge anything from $20 to $100 depending on the size of the sample pack. When setting your prices, it's a good idea to look at other similar sample packs or loops so you can price yours accordingly.
Yes, you can make money selling samples on Splice. Keep in mind that your sample pack will need to be reviewed by Splice before it appears on the platform. Splice will pay out royalties on your sales, though they don't disclose the exact percentage. Since Splice only costs $7.99/month for users to download up to 100 samples, you won't earn a lot per download on Splice - you might well be better off selling independently through Payhip.
