Stems are separate audio files containing groups of related sounds from a finished track. For example, a song might be split into vocal, drum, bass, guitar, and synth stems. When played together, the stems recreate the full mix. Stems are different from multitracks. A drum stem might contain all the drums mixed together, while multitracks would contain separate files for the kick, snare, hi-hat, and other individual parts.
