Homeschooling Tip #5

When you homeschool, you do not have to follow the public school calendar, and you don't have to teach every subject everyday. You could do math on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. You can homeschool in the late afternoon or evenings or even on the weekends. You could do art everyday. You could homeschool year-round and take breaks when you need them. The most important thing to consider is whether or not your student is making progress. If they need help in a certain subject, you could devote more time to it and less time in something else. You should always make time for your child's interests and also make sure you are creating good memories. If you do that, you will foster a love of learning.
