Hello — I'm Anne Rasmussen, and Southern Elsewhere is my music.

I was born in Scotland, raised in Milford Haven in Wales, and I've long been settled in Queensland, Australia. The name says it all: songs written from the far south, about the elsewheres I carry with me.

I compose and produce everything digitally from my home studio in Hervey Bay — Celtic ambient and neoclassical pieces drawn from the harbours, hills and voices of the places that made me. Every album begins with a memory.

Alongside the music, I write the Rhodri the Little Welsh Dragon picture books — you'll find Rhodri's songs and his free activity pack here in the shop too.
