Privacy Policy
The No-Fluff Guide collects only the personal information needed to deliver the Book to you and to manage our relationship as a buyer or subscriber. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.
1. Who We Are
The No-Fluff Guide is an independent digital publishing operation based in Morocco. The data controller for this site is the operator of The No-Fluff Guide, reachable at nofluffguide@zohomail.com.
2. What We Collect
When you visit our store: your IP address and basic browser/device information, collected automatically by our hosting provider for analytics and security purposes.
When you subscribe to our email list (via the lead magnet or any newsletter form): your email address and (optionally) first name. Collected through our email service provider, Kit.
When you purchase a product: your full name, email address, billing country, and payment information. Payment is processed by PayPal — we never see your full card details or PayPal login credentials.
When you contact us: any information you choose to include in your email.
3. Why We Collect It
Legal basis under GDPR (for EU and UK customers): contract performance (to deliver the product you purchased), consent (for marketing emails), and legitimate interest (for site analytics and fraud prevention).
We use your information to:
- Process your purchase and deliver the Book to your inbox
- Provide download access and customer support
- Send the welcome email sequence and (with consent) occasional updates about new books or related content
- Comply with tax and accounting requirements
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising profiles. We do not share it with third parties beyond what is listed in Section 4.
4. Third-Party Services
To run this business, we use a small number of trusted third-party services. Each is independently responsible for handling your data under their own privacy policy:
- Payhip — storefront and digital product delivery
- PayPal — payment processing
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — email marketing
- Zoho Mail — our business email host
You can find each provider's privacy policy on their respective websites. We have selected services that comply with GDPR. Buyers from the EU or UK can request information about which specific services have processed their data.
5. How Long We Keep It
Purchase records: retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 6–10 years depending on jurisdiction), then deleted.
Email subscribers: retained until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
Support correspondence: retained for 24 months after the last exchange, then deleted unless ongoing.
6. Your Rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or any other jurisdiction with comparable data rights, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to specific uses of your data
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email nofluffguide@zohomail.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
Our storefront is hosted by Payhip, which may set functional and analytics cookies necessary for the store to operate. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels on our pages.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
