About Me
Clinical knowledge. Real-world confidence.
The Acute Care Atlas was created by Tina Chaphe, AGACNP-BC, MSN, CCRN, TCRN, an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of critical-care and cardiothoracic experience.
After years of caring for complex cardiac and critically ill patients, I recognized a recurring need: clinicians often have access to extensive textbooks, policies, and guidelines—but what they need at the bedside is a clear way to connect that information to the patient in front of them.
The Acute Care Atlas was created to bridge that gap.
These guides are designed around real-world clinical thinking: recognizing patterns, understanding the physiology behind the numbers, anticipating complications, troubleshooting problems, and knowing when a change requires escalation.
Topics include cardiothoracic surgery, ECMO, mechanical circulatory support, postoperative arrhythmias, hemodynamics, transplant care, and other high-acuity clinical challenges.
My goal is simple: to create practical, evidence-informed resources that help nurses and advanced practice providers understand not only what to assess—but why it matters and what to recognize next.
