Here are some guiding Scriptures from the Tree of Life version (TLV).
- Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not turn from it.
- Deuteronomy 4: 9-10
Only be watchful and watch over your soul closely, so you do not forget the things your eyes have seen and they slip from your heart all the days of your life. You are to make them known to your children and your children's children.
- Deuteronomy 6: 7-9
You are to teach them diligently to your children, and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- Deuteronomy 11: 19
You are to teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up.
- Luke 2: 52
And Yeshua kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with G-d and men.
POLICIES
- All Shabbat School volunteers will be background checked and CPR/First Aid certified as part of their synagogue membership.
- Only women volunteers will be teaching the infants to toddlers who are not yet potty-trained.
- Because of various allergies and medical conditions, we do NOT administer medicines (we can recall you to the class to do so as necessary), NOR do we provide food or drink (but you may be able to provide your own in your child's clearly labeled bag), NOR do we take the children outside without prior parent permission.
- We provide take home papers and/or projects so you know what was taught to your children and can then reinforce them during the week.
