Ko wai au - who am I?
These resources emerge at the intersection of personal experience and professional inquiry. As a mother, clinician, and systems thinker, I’ve come to understand that being an autistic-affirming practitioner requires more than good intentions—it demands critical reflection, relational courage, and a commitment to dismantling practices that pathologize neurodivergence. Throughout these resources, I draw on lived experience and clinical practice to examine how therapeutic and institutional paradigms must evolve. While grounded in evidence and ethics, this work is deeply human: an invitation for parents, therapists, and allies to walk alongside one another in reimagining what supportive, respectful practice truly looks like. These resources are designed to complement how you work therapeutically or within the various settings that I hope these resources reach. They are not intended to be a 'one size fits all' strategy or a solution to 'how to do therapy'. Please get creative and relational with the application of the resources and connect with each and every individual client as you do so.
Ka nui te mihi ki a koe - thank you very much for your interest, your support and for walking the talk when working in neuroaffirming ways.
