Hi, I’m Conor. I’m a wildlife artist specialising in creating photorealistic, detailed artwork. Over the last few years I’ve spent a lot of time searching for good quality references for my own work.

After years of searching for references for my own artwork, I decided to start getting behind the camera and building a wildlife photography library of my own. Being an artist definitely influences what I photograph. I’m looking for the obvious things like a strong portrait or an interesting pose, but also different angles, natural behaviour, anatomy and all those smaller details and textures that become really useful when you actually sit down to create a piece of artwork.

Here you can browse my photographs as individual high-resolution references or curated species collections, all licensed for you to create your own original artwork from.
